Hey everyone, Spamming has been a huge issue on the site at the moment. I've gotten many complaints about it and I'm hoping it will soon stop. Spamming is pointless posts that are not needed. Please don't do this. If I ge a complaint about someone doing this then you will get a warning. If it happens again then your status as a mod, etc. will be taken away. If you are not a mod then you will be banned for a few days on the site. Thanks soo much!! =)

Thanks for adding this Kristen =] I really think its wrong and junks up the forum.. I've seen it get really bad, like somebody that posted three sentences word by word, just posting and adding a new post (you can see by the times) thats another way of spamming guys.

OK, I don't think any one wants a 'post contest'. If a guest (not a member) is viewing this forum and sees informative and helpful posts. They might want to join, because they are going to know that everyone contributes to this site and is willing to help out newbies who are new to this site and/or is new to Webkinz World. Also, spamming just takes up space. Would everyone like this site with only "OK", "Yeah", and "Hi" posts? I wouldn't like that, would you? Spamming also annoys a lot of people...if you wrote an awesome story that you worked really hard on and receive a "cool" on it. Just a "Cool" not a "Cool story, you must've worked really hard on it! Good job!" not even a "Good job!" comment on it. It only takes a couple more seconds to make an informative post and to add just a a couple of words.

Same thing with advertising on other members' trade threads. If the owner doesn't have the item that XXX is looking for you can certainly post and tell XXX that you have that item and ask them nicely to go to their trade thread. But if you just randomly post your trade thread link when nobody is interested in that item, why would any one care about your thread? Same thing with asking someone to view your thread on another member's thread...wouldn't you be annoyed if they did that to you?

Kristen has every right to take away any of your privileges if you violate Webkinz Mania's rules or Ganz' user agreement. Being able to trade and send messages is a privilege. Being a moderator is a privilege. Being an Experienced Trader is a privilege. If you do something bad or an action that violates the rules, you are going to have to face the consequences. Privileges are earned...if you cannot follow the rules, then Kristen can take them away and you'll have to earn them again. Hey, it's completely OK if you get one of your privileges away just don't make that same mistake again, it's not the end of the world-- you can start all over and earn that privilege back. smile

Haha I know this is kind of wierd, but really, can anybody who is spamming or was spamming on this site tell us why? Haha seriously, everyone, it is pointless! =]

Look at Kathy; she has the most counts on the site usually, and I've never once seen a spam message from her =] Also, look a Kristen, tons of posts, no spam messages.. So basically I have two points

1- Spammng is horrible- It junks up forums, causes fights ,and is plain wrong.
What do post counts matter? Really, they don't mean anything! Nobody is going to look down on you if you have less than another member =]

2- If for some reason you are still obbsesive about post counts, don't spam and actually take your time to read a section you don't usually go into and post some good, nice, responsive long comments like many of our top posters have done =]

A post count means NOTHING. If you are going to post a thread, make sure you are indeed CONTRUBUTING to the fourm!

Hmm, I guess if you quote what you're saying ok to it wouldn't be as bad, but you would probably want to add more to be safe.
