I thought I might share a little story with you guys. (It's true too!)
Today was my first day of gym. Well, it wasn't my first---this was the first day of the new cycle. I wasn't rocking back and forth with excitement, but daydreaming and yawning. I was bored; I never really enjoyed gym class either.
First, we were assigned new lockers. I got a locker next to my best friends and I started to change into my gym clothes. My gym clothes consisted of a gray shirt with my name on it and sports pants. I slipped them on quickly, looking both ways---making sure nobody was watching me. Then the whistle blew and we all went into the gym to start our warm-ups.
We were sitting and waiting to start our warm-ups. A girl asked the gym teacher what we were doing.
"We're doing the five minute walk and jog," he replied.
"Ugh, I hate running," I said to myself annoyed with my gym teacher. Usually, on the first day of gym we do practically nothing!
Next, we started our warm-ups. We did jumping jacks---some kids were talking, so we had to do them again. Then we stretched and started doing sit-ups. People again
started talking. The gym teacher once again yelled at us.
"I'm glad I'm gifted with a loud voice! I know all of you can hear me, and when someone's talking you should be polite and not talk! I know all of you learned your manners!"
I couldn't help giggling, what kind of gift is that? Then I came back to my senses and I stopped laughing, I didn't want to get in trouble. But I couldn't help smiling. So we re-did our warm-ups for the third time and then---again---people started talking. The gym teacher went on and on about how he was perfectly fine giving out detentions and stuff. Then he told us about how it was a privilege to play games in gym and how this "subject"---if you would actually call it that---was very "fun". Then he told us to sit and then we sat and whispered through out the whole entire period.
The bell rang and we got un-dressed and went to our lockers to get our books. I was actually quite happy, we didn't do any running today! LOL. I actually hope we get in trouble again tomorrow!
